Her self esteem is altered as she was raised by a depressed leader of the country, republican and alicorn, Princess Celestia, who decided to take twilight under her wing as a young filly and tell her parents about
the weight of being her acolyte and next in line on her shoulders. This of course, influenced twilght to
put more pressure on herself to do well in her academics, that she isolated herself from her peers, as she believed that if she were to waste any time with her other classmates, that she would fall behind and waste her potential that the adults in her life constantly reminded her of the importance of.
Years later, Twilights friends quickly teach her about how life is as an adult when your alone, and how much
better it can be when you have people who see you by your side. The gay orphan farmer, the caretaker fashion designer, the athlete alcoholic, the weed smoker, and the crack addict love her all the same.
